Course Content
Durante il corso, gli esercizi ludici del teatro, che stimolano l’inventiva e le capacità creative, si sviluppano brevi storie in forma di azioni sceniche. Il ricorso all’improvvisazione consente di esaltare la spontaneità e la prontezza nell’utilizzo della lingua inglese, ampliando il proprio vocabolario, guadagnando scioltezza e confidenza nella conversazione. L’utilizzo di strumenti e tecniche teatrali rafforza inoltre la consapevolezza del proprio corpo come strumento espressivo, delle proprie capacità creative e dell’importanza dell’interazione all’interno della dinamica di gruppo nonché del public speaking.
Lo studio di testi teatrali di autori contemporanei permette poi di affinare la propria pronuncia e le strutture di linguaggio senza perdere la spontaneità della lingua e della comunicazione.
Through fun activities which stimulate creativity participants are led to develop short stories that take the shape of small stage representations. By means of improv techniques students enhance their spontaneity and their readiness in the use of the foreign language while enlarging their vocabulary and improving their easiness and confidence in acted conversation. The use of theatre techniques also strengthens the self awareness of the body as an instrument of expression, as well as one’s creative resources, and it highlights the importance of interaction in group dynamics.
The study of theatre works by contemporary authors allows students to perfect their pronunciation and speech construction without losing the spontaneity of the language and their communication skills.

About the teacher
Bridget Borgobello è un'attrice madrelingua inglese, autore, e Casting Director. Nata a Melbourne, in Australia, Bridget ha iniziato a recitare professionalmente a sedici anni, prima di completare una laurea in arti dello spettacolo alla Monash University. Bridget ha continuato a recitare in diversi film premiati e nelle principali serie televisive australiane. Nel 2007, è stata invitata a studiare recitazione al Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute (The Actors Studio) di New York City e ha trascorso 12 mesi lavorando e studiando a New York. Tornata in Australia, ha proseguito la sua carriera come importante direttrice del casting per il cinema e la televisione.
Bridget Borgobello is an English mother tongue actress, writer, and Casting Director. Born in Melbourne, Australia, Bridget began acting professionally at sixteen, before completing a performing arts degree at Monash University. Bridget went on to perform in several award winning films and leading Australian television series. In 2007, she was invited to study acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City and spent 12 months working and studying in New York. Returning to Australia she advanced her career as a prominent Casting Director for film and television.
